Jerome,
It sucks but I would advise you to print the updated parts. The older parts won't be stiff enough at all. I did the same thing as you and printed off many many parts before realizing I had the older versions. Github was later updated but John's website was updated all the time.
You can't have enough stiffness with these printers. The frames shouldn't move at all when printing. I can flex my 3DR simple frame slightly with moderate force but I'm hoping that it's plenty stiff enough.
Now, on to some good news for you Ramps owners out there.
I have removed Funkymonk's 3DR Simple Spool Holder to include mounting holes and captured nuts. These are used to mount a Ramps mounting frame underneath the spool holder.
Here is the remixed spool holder:

Here is the Ramps 1.4 mounting frame.

Enjoy and as always, start with a Printrbot Simple, not from scratch as I did! :D
Norman, I agree. I have found that Solidworks will import STL files as solid geometry, similar to a STP or IGES file. I would still like to get a hold of the native files, though. I only have SW 2010 so I can't work with John's files.
John,
You can easily use Solidworks task scheduler found in the solidworks start folder. You can tell it to export your entire folder to a specific format. I typically use it to print a directory of drawings out to PDF or to convert to other file types for sharing across agencies at work.
