Is there any chance of you sharing your maxima code and procedure?
I recently installed a probe and am using Johann's deltabot branch. The movement is the "most" level it has ever been, but I still have a couple areas where the effector is ~0.1mm high and I cannot print there. I have an ~8mm thick cast aluminum build plate that is *flat*.
From what you describe, it sounds as if your post-processing code can help identify any possible structural/mechanical issues?
