Re: Bed levelling on a Delta system, possible alternative?

Thanks for the extra comments, they indeed help, and I will be playing with this very soon, to get it working well will be a bonus.

What's become very clear is that there is a lot more to the Delta than had first been anticipated. The version I am going to try and get working is a variant of the Rostock, the Pi, as the bearing towers are a lot cheaper to get the parts for, but should be every bit as accurate, the thing that's not clear to me yet is which offsets apply to which settings in Marlin, or whichever firmware, while the documentation is better than some I've seen, it's still pretty confusing,

Re hot end swaps, different bed thicknesses and the like, appreciate those comments, I'd sort of arrived at some of those conclusions over the last couple of weeks, but this reinforces the other things to watch out for, the one that only dawned on me today was that if I use (say) an aluminium base plate for the bed, if I don't make it in a way that keeps the heat from getting into the plate, it could change thickness and upset things as well, depending on how it is anchored to the bottom plate.

If I get into trouble, I will shout. Once again, thanks for your efforts and the help you are providing to the community.

Cheers
