Re: Rostock endstops being weird

Have tried motherboard configurations 3, 33 and 34 in the marlin file 'configuration.h'. Each gives a different set of problems.
Motherboard 3 (MEGA/RAMPS up to 1.2). Using this, X and Z endstops trigger when pressed (but no reaction from Y endstop), Any input to X, Y or extruder motor, results in the extruder going one way or the other at varying speeds?!?!?
Motherboard type 33 (RAMPS 1.3 (Power outputs: Extruder, Bed, Fan)), No response from any endstop micro switch, but any input on to X or Y stepper (through pronterface), results in all 3 carriages hurrying towards the switches. Input on the extruder (after sending M302 to allow cold extrusion) results in all carriages again moving towards the top but in microsteps-very slowly. The only way I can stop the progress to the switches (as the endstop switches dont react), is to unplug the 12v supply?!?!?
It seems to me that because I can get X and Z endstops to react in motherboard configuration 3, endstop circuit for Y may be fried, and that may have taken some other vitals with it. . . . I can see another trip to the RAMPS shop on the horizon. What a laugh . Hmmmm
I am losing the will to live with the rostock now, which is a shame cos the printer turned out looking nice (see phot).
