Re: Noise-Reduction

Well, I don't have Rostock, but I'm planning on building one in the next few months. Assuming you're using LM8UU's, you could give this a try: [www.thingiverse.com]. I have cheap LM8UU's on my Prusa,...

Ooops, forgot the link to nophead's blog: [hydraraptor.blogspot.com]. Interesting reading, but probably better for someone with some serious patience with soldering, and preferably without a coffee...

Re: Rostock - ReplicatorG Troubleshooting

Update: Multiple tries in "various ways" with changes in the configuration.h file too. (1) Installed the Arduino software IDE/toolset v23, Arduino v1.0.3, and Ardunio v1.04. (2) Installed Ultimaker's...

Rostock Mini Homing Fail

I am trying to commission my Rostock Mini but am having trouble with homing, the axes all slam into the endstops but fail to stop. I am running Marlin V1 for Kossel on a RAMPS 1.1 board and have the...

Re: Rostock Mini Homing Fail

Send gcode M119 to get the current endstop status. The MAX endstops are undefined for RAMPS 1.1, so you'll need to edit pins.h before you can read them

Re: Rostock Mini Homing Fail

I'm such an idiot, I had the X & Y Endstops mixed up. She is homing like a champ now! Also such a rookie mistake on the M119. End Stops not triggered < 9:36:02 PM: Reporting endstop status <...

Circular or hexagonal print bed

Does anybody out there make either a circular or hexagonal heated print bed besides the ridiculously priced seemecnc $70 model? It seems to me that either of these shapes would be a better fit for a...

Trinity labs have a couple of round Kapton film heaters, the larger one requires 24V though.

Re: Rostock Max: Suitable for a first-time builder?

My 2c and I own both printers. Many may disagree with me, but if you are not familiar with adjusting a 3D printer to get quality results, there are enough additional challenges getting a Rostock style...

Re: Rostock Max: Suitable for a first-time builder?

I also own both and I'm in agreement with Poly. The MM is a rock solid, easy to assemble platform. It has it's challenges but if you do your research and learn from others problems, you can start with...

I've had a 'reprappro' mendel for about 8 month. Easy to build up and worked straight away; the firmware was already on the electronics board so getting great prints was just a matter of spending some...

Was it the Blomker kit, by chance? Anyway, this is all excellent information. I'm certainly leaning back toward the MendelMax. Polygonhell Wrote:...

Yes that was the one. It was a nicely put together kit, I wouldn't personally assemble it exactly like he does, but it's very complete.
