I only have the printed parts missing... my printer broke the PTC connector, I shipped him one. Still need the 3 top, 3 bottom and 2 abs parts. I can't wait!

So does anyone use thermal paste between the heated bed and the glass? I was planning on putting some on but have no idea if it will survive trips to 100+C.... Another thing. I hate the whole binder...

I like magentizing things for ease and appearance. I have thermal paste on my extruder for the thermistor and heater cartridge. I've gone above 350C. Well, didn't find out until after that thermal...

It may print good, but to me, that's a lose/lose idea.A head crash or misalignment now not only thrashes the bed, but all that Kapton tape as well, it may be rare, but it does happen. While covering a...

Each to his his own then. I'll stick with this until something better comes along. I've never had a head crash and I have a roll of 200mm wide kapton with about another 25M on it. The biggest benefit...

I have been dreaming up my next printer and wondered if anyone had built a hybrid delta-cartesian printer. I am thinking of Y-Z axes provided by two delta arms on either side and an X axis provided by...

I think the option of skipped steps could still be the cause. you could try turning the acceleration down slightly or the power on the driver up slightly and see if the problem goes away....

how does that design keep the effector parallel to the build late? You would need a parallel diagonal arm arrangment. Neat idea. I think you would need a much higher bot to get cartesian style z heights.

That looks like an awesome printer. Why not add a double table? The idea lends itself to a printer capable of doing a 500mmx300mmx500mm build volume. Huge prints here we come? You have mixed the high...

Yes, they should be the same. But different values should not result in missed steps, only in uneven movement over different cartesian X/Y positions. Lover values are safer but even values of about...

One would actually need 3 connections on at least one side to keep the extruder parallel to the plate. Two of the delta connecting rods would always form a parallelogram with the extruder plate. The...
