Re: Pronterface home issues

I fixed the problem with the printer not homing. The HOMING_FEEDRATE in congiguration h was set to high, it was set to 200*60 for each axis, this is 12000. I set the homing feedrate to 200 and it...

Re: Mini kossel with FSRs and heated bed with RAMPS board under the bed?

My suggestions - forget the FSR and make the machine robust enough so that calibration, once done, persists for a while. I just built a Kossel mini and found quite a few things in the design that make...

Re: Autocalibration with FSR problem

Does it work fine when manually moving the motors? I.e. the issue is strictly happening when auto-calibrating. FSR uses Z-min correct? Is it wired / plugged in correctly? Perhaps after the first...

Re: Mini kossel with FSRs and heated bed with RAMPS board under the bed?

While I agree to some extent on Ralph's idea of making the machine stout enough to maintain calibration (every machine should whether FSR's are used or not), it's hard to do on a printer with the...

Re: Mini kossel with FSRs and heated bed with RAMPS board under the bed?

I'm not quite sure what a trinket does and I really don't follow how using a different code (firmware) could possibly change how much I should insulate around the FSR's if I want to use a heated bed....

Re: Large Delta, small motors - Counterweights ?

Hey, I have just had a thought. You could run 2 motors on each axis. One at the top, one at the bottom. A Ramps can handle 2 motors on each axis as it can do 2 on the Z axis. With x2 the power it may...

Re: Large Delta, small motors - Counterweights ?

Hi Ayouden, i think the limitation is more from the stepstick, than from the motor (apart from heating). I've done a quick try on the counterweights, i'm not sure it changed much, maybe i should retry...

Printed wheels for delta carriages

I was wondering about the viability of printing polyurethane or PETG rollers for the carriages and whether anyone has experience with using such instead of Delrin?

Re: Printed wheels for delta carriages

Can you? Yes, but should you? Printed parts do not usually make for precision movements. Even if it does work, it probably won't last as long as something made through other means.

Re: Large Delta, small motors - Counterweights ?

You will get more torque with lower microstepping values. Maximum torque with no microstepping. As for the temps 74 degrees is fine. Silicon can handle well over 120 degrees. On most devices maximum...
