Re: Has anybody tried 3mm filament in airtrippers filament drive for rostock?

My apologies. Here, units work out properly now: 3.8kg x cm / .4cm = 9.5kg the unit cm cancels out as it should. 4.8kg x cm / .65cm = 7.38kg To be technically correct kg isn't a unit of force, but...

Re: Rumba Microstepping Jumpers

I never actually solved it. Just sidestepped it. I swapped out my old drivers for drv8825 and went for a 12v psi. All works fine now. I have subsequently tested each of the old drivers on a breadboard...

Quoteowens Quotenicholas.seward @pjoyce42: You can print it in the orientation given. Most printers can bridge that far. It may sag but you have tons of layers until you get to the gear part so most...

Re: Grounded Experimental Delta Printer

I merged the branch since I trust owens that it works so no more bridging. I am fairly sure you couldn't do it with just a 2D arch.

Re: LISA Simpson

I have a 4' tall by 2' long/wide MDF cabinet on casters with a glass door that I have been looking for a design to build into. Would the 3/8" screw be enough with a rigid cabinet? Or at that length,...

Re: LISA Simpson

I've got a variety of cabinets running around here. I'd bet the PVC under compression approach is as rigid as any of them, at least in the directions where it counts.

It's the silly pound force thing all over, in this case it's kg used as force. There certainly are a lot of reports on these forums of people who are unable to get those torque level motors to work on...

LISA Simpson great I see a very un-happy Wally in corner watching LISA work. Looking at video: With the stationary trolley (not being moved by leadscrew) being rotated by the other two trolleys...

Re: LISA Simpson

@jason.fisher: I think that 3/8" is just this side of good for my arrangement. The max deflection is proportional to l^3/r^34. 24^3/.125^4=48^3/r^4 so r=.21in You need to find a lead screw with a...

Quotenicholas.seward I really need to see if I can mod Slic3r or Cura to show the outline of the build area to help with part layout. Now that would be great!

Re: Bowden Extrusion Issues and Calibration

I just realized my steps/mm for my extruder were way off. I think that might be what the problem is. I'm going to give it a shot and let you know how it goes.

[attachment 22591 sidewalls.png] This is what I have in mind for the sides. The printed plastic clips should just snap over the PVC pipes.

I posted a bounty for GUS's documentation. I am working on it anyways but a little extra money will definitely help in the motivation department.
