[attachment 25915 DSE_4839.JPG] Yay parts. Enough for 2 more machines. Time to build some beta units!

Components look great! I'd like to see a video with all 3 running B)- Have you decided on what electronics that you will be using?
View ArticleScaling up Kossel Mini
I plan to build a Kossel Mini as my first printer, but I don't like the limited build space. I am considering scaling it up, as I can get enough OpenBeam for a massive Kossel for only $12 more than...

Been thinking about the whole screw issue. Would you be able to implement somekind of rack-and-pinion setup? Have the pinions connected to the motor and the rack drives each axis.

What's the sequence for getting the updated firmware onto the Printrboard? I've got the latest version of Marlin with the necessary modifications, it compiles in the Arduino environment, then what?...

Yep, I think so. I've never installed precompiled binaries from printrbot though. I used dfu-programmer to send the firmware to the board.

Do the motors move or are they stationary? If the motors are stationary, the moving racks get pretty crazy. If the motors move keeping things attached without further structure gets a bit interesting....

I'm planning to do something similar but I'm going to test it out on the smaller size first. Do a search for Kossel on Thingiverse and you can find some carriers that do not require a looped belt. The...

One geared extruder later and it's printing much better. It appears my prints have also become more accurate, which I think is due to better plastic flow control. At least the direct drive was enough...

So the stepper motor doesn't have enough power. You probably need to turn up the amps on the stepper drivers. The procedure for which can either adjust the little trimpots on the stepper drivers, or...

I'm using a Rumba on my 3DR and couldn't be happier. It does everything I tell it to do. It has plenty of inputs and outputs.
