Re: What Delta Variation?

Because you can account for slop its still not ideal. You can can only go so far with software correction. The other point is that when you have gears that are constantly beating themselves to death...

Re: What Delta Variation?

If your gears are beating themselves to death, you're doing something very, very wrong. The amount of slop in a planetary gearset is ridiculously small, and even after 9 months of heavy use hasn't...

Re: What Delta Variation?

I was talking about 3d printed gears. I was not talking about gearboxes, those have their own slew of problems as well. Like some ridiculous gear ratios in the 5:1 to 40:1 range which in my book is...

Hey, Today I ran into a bit of an unexpected issue. I was setting up my delta 3D Printer and I accidently pressed -10Y rather than -10Z. This then caused my axis carriage to crash into my end-stop....

Re: Delta Max Height Config

Your max Z height peaks at dead center, and tapers down to a low at the tower. You can take advantage of nearly all 200, IF your object is narrow at the top, but there is no settings to account for...

Re: What Delta Variation?

Personally I would not use a gearbox when two pulleys can do the same job. That is my point on the matter. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Re: Cherry Pi III Is Available

Hey maso, I found that the M3 30mm SHCS held fine and were great for the adjuster screws to clamp the wheels onto the V slot. Obviously I haven't been able to actually clamp onto the V slot yet but it...

Re: Cherry Pi III Is Available

Hi Guys I use an M3 25mm bolt to clamp the carriage. The hole is sized to ensure the M3 self taps. They hold great. The slot is to accept the stainless steel wire that is used to anchor the spring and...

Re: Autocalibration with FSR problem

Does the head tap ok in the centre at first but then move off the plate? You may need to look at reducing bed diameter on line 107 of your config and possibly making sure that the starting values for...

Re: Autocalibration with FSR problem

Yea it taps the center then moves towards one of the towers where it collides with the belt for around 30 sec. I'll triple check all the measurements this weekend and try reducing the bed diameter.

Re: Autocalibration with FSR problem

Also make sure any probe offset constants are set to zero as your head is your probe.

Re: Autocalibration with FSR problem

If it is trying to go off the bed for 30 seconds, I wonder if your steps per mm are wrong? So it thinks it has only moved a cm or two, when it reality it has moved 10x that.
