Re: Cherry Pi III Is Available
@andy thanks a lot. the spring i am using are 7mm with 0.8 mm wire which is 60mm long. I will get a set of stronger springs and try again.

It should work with the spring you have, just add more tension to it... You need to remove the arm, pull the cord a little and then "push" the arm into place... the spring will now be loaded with good...

I like his solution for water cooled j-head. Simple and effective. I bought two hot ends similar to the ones he is using. Overall its a nice solution. I have not made any headway in the heated chamber...

I just bought a set of those bearings for my printer. Even from US source they are nearly ~50USD. I just bit the bullet and bought them. Once my replacement hot end comes in it looks like I will be...

Quoteshai3. Yes, strings do stretch. This is why we use a 65 pound tested spectra fishing line which only needs tightening about 3 times after you first assemble it, then it works fine. I'm planning...

Quotewuz Sure, its just code, but then you only have one LED. I had one sensor not firing as a small piece of PLA got stuck next to the sensor, and I would have had a harder time to figure this out,...

Hey guys any ideas on how to insulate the FSR to use it with ABS? Thank you.

Here's the problem I'm having with Marlin and a clay paste extruder . My geared stepper motor running the extruder pump seems to be giving out when I reach hi steps per mm on the feedrate and or...

It is the current that needs to be set correct. The voltage to the DRV8825 just needs to be high enough. What is the current rating of the stepper motors, and how high do you have the stepper motor...

A thought just occured to me. When printing, is there ever an issue with the FSR triggering, thus signalling that the hot-end has hit the bed, even though it might have just pressed down on the part?...
View ArticleRe: Why is filament line better than belts?
I wonder if brake cable (steel braided wire) would work in this situation? It should not stretch much at all under the loads a 3d printer can generate. Unfortunately the bend radius is large for those...

Endstops are ignored while printing. If you plan on only heating one area, it will need to be boro, otherwise you will break the glass.

Igus or MP-Jet? Let us know what you think about them after some use.

Quotesheepdog43 Endstops are ignored while printing. Depends on ENDSTOPS_ONLY_FOR_HOMING setting in Marlin. I do not remember about Repetier (despite the fact the printer uses Repetier now).

I followed the manufacturer's recommendations on setting the voltage / current for the DRV 8825. I don't believe it's the fault of the stepper motor or current , I think it's a problem with Marlin not...

You may be hitting maximum step frequency of Marlin for extruder. By default it is about 40 kHz. Based on your picture you can reach 600x600 = 360 kHz.

End stops are ignored while printing. Did not know that, thank-you. Though I will need to double check Repieter as that is what I am using right now.
